about my hiatus
hello friends! if you don’t know, i was in a bad car accident in December 2020 and suffered several injuries. one of these injuries was a broken femur, which was fixed surgically using a plate and some screws. because of the location of the injury, i’ve been experiencing knee joint pain that is sometimes bad enough to keep me from working (both making content and my irl job). this past friday (september 22), i had surgery to remove the plate and some of the screws. during that surgery, my doctor found that i had torn my meniscus at some point and it was never able to heal properly. my doctor removed a lot of the scar tissue from where the injury had attempted to heal and sewed it together so it could actually heal. access to the plate and screws also required my doctor cut through muscles in my leg. i am currently experiencing a lot of swelling and stiffness in my knee along with weakness. i am supposed to minimize use of my leg for at least six weeks to give it time to actually heal this time around. i already hadn’t posted on here for a while because of the joint pain interfering with my ability to make content that i actually enjoy making and here i am to give you the news that i will still be gone for another 6ish weeks. i rly appreciate all the support y’all give me and i can’t wait to be posting again
